Searching for the soul of the image staring at me.
Is the reflection you see truly me?
Can you see my doubt and uncertainty?
Do you see my imperfections and dislikes?
My endless efforts to be more like Christ;
Or the disconnection I feel when I am not near thee.
Do you see my fears?
My simple complications?
A heart so tender, delicate and sincere.
Or the façade built of manufactured stone?
Sometimes I cry at night
Lie restless and hold my pillow tight
Do you see what lies beneath?
What do u see when you look at me?
